Fei Sheng is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Department of History, Sun Yat-sen University, and holds joint appointments at the School of Liberal Arts and the School of International Relations. He received his Ph.D. in world history from Peking University in 2012 and completed postdoc research at the Rachel Carson Center for Environmental and Society at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, in 2013. Currently, he also serves as the director of the Oceania Studies Center of Chinese Ministry of Education.
Fei’s primary research focuses on modern and contemporary global environmental history, Pacific history, and Chinese overseas migration studies. He has a prolific academic achievement, including a widely recognized monograph, numerous journal articles, and his role as chief editor of Annual Report of Development of Oceania (Blue Book). He has led multiple funding research projects and maintains collaborative partnerships with education or academic institutions in Brazil, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and many other countries.
