Foundations & Strengths

Co-founded by Sun Yat-sen University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University of Macao, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance is incorporated into the 「Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area」.

Guangdong (27 Universities), including Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Jinan University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School, and Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). 

Hong Kong (9 Universities), including The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, 

Macao (7 Universities), including University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, and Macau Polytechnic Institute. 

• 3,000 Exchanges in the Last Five Years
  - 2,000 Sun Yat-sen University faculty and students visited Hong Kong
  - 1,000 Hong Kong individuals visited Sun Yat-sen University
• 796 Hong Kong students currently enrolled at Sun Yat-sen University 
• Over 70% of graduates are employed in the Greater Bay Area
• More than 20,000 alumni reside in Hong Kong, including 3 elected Legislative Council members and 19 elected District Council members.
